Hey, Team Texas!
Here are a few easy ways to get involved this October:
Mothers for Democracy Action PAC is working hard to turn out low-propensity voters in Texas, of which there are many… In some reports Texas ranks 51st in the nation for voter turnout. In Mothers for Democracy’s own Texas SOS report, TX turnout in Presidential elections hoovers right around 52.39%. In other words, there’s a lot of room for improvement.
You can help their mission by joining the Neighbors for Democracy walk program- fill out this short form to get started and organize a canvass in your own neighborhood.
Also, check out the following video from Colin Allred’s campaign on how Sen. Ted Cruz’s anti-abortion policies have impacted real Texans. It’s a great video, and a really impactful, easy thing to share with friends, family, or any disengaged voters you know.
Here’s the link to share.
Lastly, let us not forget that Vote Forward has three active letter writing campaigns in TX: one encouraging turnout among Dem-leaning voters throughout the state, one specifically targeting TX-15, and another convincing young, underrepresented Texans to vote. Write your letters now and send them by October 29. We’re in the final stretch for letter writing and postcarding before the election, so do what you can!
OK, that’s it for now. Keep doing what you’re doing! More soon.
